The UltraClean UHP technology uses only water, in an extremely advanced way, for cleaning and precise surface preparation.

The technology is highly versatile due to its ability to rapidly and deeply remove technical or protective coatings of any kind, even stubborn and layered deposits, oxides, and materials with high thickness.

Cleaning and removal are performed while leaving the original profile of the treated surface completely intact. The surface is also not subjected to any chemical or thermal stress. The process produces no dust or gas emissions.

The use of this technology allows for both manual cleaning operations or with automatic tools inside dedicated machines with varying degrees of automation (2-3 controlled axes or robotic arms).

The FineJets technology used for manual or automatic cleaning tools fractures the impact force required for the process into a multitude of ultra-high kinetic energy jets with minimal mass.

Nozzles with extremely small orifices, as small as 0.08 mm, allow for supersonic water speeds (at 2300 bar, the water speed is 2.5 times the speed of sound). Very small quantities of water are typically sufficient for good efficiency.

The nozzles are housed on rotating heads that differ in footprint diameter and the number of jets. The assembly also includes specific inclinations for each jet and rotations on different orbits.

Rotation is ensured by high-torque pneumatic motors integrated into the tools, allowing for the selection of the correct speed based on the process.

This setup produces a circular imprint with extremely high pressure and high rotational speed, which, with adjustable angles, effectively loosens and removes coatings or process residues.

The UHP water technology offers many benefits compared to conventional surface removal and restoration processes.

First of all, the use of only water is an extremely eco-friendly, environmentally compatible, and highly respectful choice for the environment.

The potential applications of UHP technology using only water are countless, with a multitude of different application sectors and in non-restrictive environmental conditions.

For residues resulting from manual or automatic processes, it is sufficient to collect the debris in simple bags or filtration systems.

The use of water also ensures the possibility of normal channeling and collection of 100% of the removed material.

Typically, a treatment with adequate filtration and retention levels is enough to discharge the water directly into the system. The filtered water, in some cases, can be reused directly in the process.

In other cases, for continuous cycle reuse, a second and specific treatment is required (dedicated Airmation multi-stage filtration and retention systems).

As for other types of residues, the systems typically leave nothing in the air, neither suspensions nor debris that can be carried away.

The most common traditional removal technologies typically involve the use of chemical products or baths, abrasives, and, in some cases, mechanical removal with tools. Chemicals are slow and costly in terms of overall management and safety, and are very expensive environmentally and in the work environment itself. They can also create latent incompatibilities and unclear results, especially in subsequent processes the product will undergo. The use of water without chemicals allows the treated surface to remain clean and residue-free, enabling reproducibility of results. The use of abrasives, generally faster than chemical processes, is also costly due to the need for disposal, containment, and collection of the abrasives. Moreover, the environment usually needs to be controlled because of the significant dust and gas in the air. A surface cleaned with only water guarantees a very deep cleaning, without inclusions or sediments between the micro-crests of the surface, allowing for better adhesion of coatings, which results in greater durability. Even in mechanical removal with tools, there is usually a need to reprepare the product with new sandblasting and/or grinding. In both cases (sandblasting and mechanical removal), it is impossible to differentiate between the coating to be removed and the substrate; normally, these methods also remove the substrate in excess.
